time turning Him over to Pilate to accomplish their long-awaited goal. The true Passover Lamb was silent before all those who abused Him, absorbing all the hatred and brutality…refusing every opportunity to diminish the cup of suffering He had come to drink to the full. And when He breathed His last, the Temple veil was torn from top to bottom — and the way to the Father was opened for all who believe.
